We will guide you on ways to use your air conditioner or heater by tailoring advice to each specific customer and the system. When quoting for a new air conditioning system we will ask questions about your specific needs to ensure we find the solution for heating or cooling that best suits you.

We recommend that if you do have solar power to run the system (winter time) on heating for around 22 degrees while the sun is out all day. This will help create thermal mass in your home. This will help get the floor warm as well as the walls and the furniture while you are offsetting your bill with your solar system. Once the night comes around you can turn the system back to 21 and because the home is already warm the system will use far less energy to heat the home. When the system does get to the set point it will hold this temperature for far longer as everything in the home is already warm.

For Summer we recommend running the system on cooling at about 22 – 25 degrees all day. This will remove the humidity in the room while maintain the home at a comfortable temperature. If you have solar, you could run the home a little lower to create a good thermal mass in the home and then simply turn the system off when it gets dark.
